He Arose (Easter…)

Noel coypel - the resurrection of christ

Strip away the mournful clothing
Roll out the cold tomb that now lay dead silent
Let the bells resound from the highest mountains
Let the trumpets rumble from tent to tent!

Do you hear what I hear?
The sweet cry of victory from east to west
In all death’s scowl and scornful snare
Yet He was prepared a glorious place to rest

Tear up these joyful bluish skies
For a glimpse of this majesty I thirst
Cherubs in glittering clouds of white
Dazzling royalty in gold and mantle of red

Arise! My limbs and bones
Sing aloud this joyful tale of “good news”
Dance to the sound of the drum rolls
Pull the strings of the harp and blare the lutes!

Let your voices resound to the heavens
For on the third day, our lord arose!
Tell it to the nations and to earth’s ends
That as He promised, He indeed arose!

“Love paid a price so hope could become a reality.”
― Susan Gaddis

Happy Easter my friends! May Our risen Lord rise in our hearts!
